One of those things that I think totally makes a nursery is the mobile. Every nursery typically has one… they’re so visually stimulating and perfect for little ones to look at and entertain themselves with. And there are basically a gazillion different kinds out there, how is a momma supposed to chose just one?? Do you go store bought or handmade? Or maybe you want to try your hand at making your own? Either way, mobiles are a definite must for the nursery, don’t you think?
I have a serious love for mobiles. I’ve spent hours and hours looking at all the different kinds out there. I’ve even tried my hand at making a few, like this one that I just finished and am still trying to decide where to hang. If I were out looking to buy a mobile though these days… these would probably be on the top of my list…
I have a thing for different, unique, handmade mobiles that are going to make a statement. We already talked about how important the mobile is to the baby, but what about to the design of the room? When you are designing your nursery you have a chance to really make a statement and create an excellent statement piece with the mobile. It is one of the first things you see when you walk into the room and it hangs low from the ceiling so is often right at eye level. Since it is one of the most dominate pieces in the nursery, don’t you think we should give it that extra “umph” to really bring in some specialness to your sweet baby’s room?
